drip irrigation is a type of micro-irrigation system that has the potential to save water and nutrients by allowing to save water to drip slowly to the roots of plants, either from to drip slowly to the roots of plants. the main goal is to place water directly into the root zone and minimize evaporation.
drip irrigation some time called trickle irrigation and involves dripping water onto the soil ae very very slow from the system of small diameter pipes.
It works by exposing the roots to a direct supply of water. this method is very useful for every farmer. this method also satisfied by the use of drip which releases water slowly and steadily.
A drip irrigation system is the most efficient water and crop delivery system for growing crops. its water delivers direct crop roots zone.
There are three types of irrigation systems
- porous pipe
- punch-in emitters
- pre-installed lines
The two main drip irrigation
- Surface drip irrigation- the water is delivered to the surface of the soil directly above the crop roots system of the plants. this type of drip irrigation is mainly used on valuable crops.
- Subsurface drip irrigation-the water is applied directly to the root system.
